War of the Worlds

The cover of the August, 1927 issue of the pulp magazine, Amazing Stories, features the famous Frank Paul painting of the H.G. Wells tripod Martians attacking Earth. I have always wanted to do something similar. The tripod is from Luna Models and is in scale with HO model railroad items. The store, trailer, street lights, and billboard are all from Woodland Scenics and all light up. The figures and cars are HO scale. The ground cover and road are HO railroad items. The parking lot is scratch built. Paints are acrylics.
