Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

Though no ‘monster’ is seen in the 1956 film, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, it is nevertheless quite scary and creepy with the implications that you really don’t know who your neighbors are.  We all may be ‘pod people’.  This 1/8th scale printed resin version was obtained at a Wonderfest show and closely resembles the actor, Dana Wynter, in the film.  The challenge with this piece was all those soap bubbles!  Each one done individually, one at a time, which almost made me sane.  Care was made to not overly add makeup to her face since she is in the process of being ‘born’ and therefore not totally complete.  All paints are acrylics.
