Huey, Dewey and Louie from “Silent Running” (1972)

“The three drones featured in the wonderful film, Silent Running, were affectionately given the names, Huey, Dewey, and Louie.  Much better sounding than drone 1, drone 2, and drone 3.  These three drones were manufactured by Model Prisoners and made of resin.  The wires and lenses are separate.  All paints are acrylics and all pieces were pinned and glued.  The back of each lens was lined with highly reflective foil so incident light is reflected back giving the illusion that the lens light is on.  The numbers were hand made stencils cut out from photocopies.
