Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932)

 In Universal

When most people think of the film roles Bela Lugosi played they either think of Dracula or Igor.  One of his more interesting roles is that of Dr. Mirakle from the 1932 film, Murders in the Rue Morgue.  In this film, Mirakle abducts young women to get their blood for experiments into evolution.

This all resin 1/6th scale figure, brought to the world by Randy Lampert, is sculpted to be looking down at his audience as he is giving his lecture on evolution. The image of the skeletons, taken from the film, was attached to the easel.  All paints are acrylics.
