Chaney Quasimodo & Esmeralda

 In Silents, Universal

One of Lon Chaney’s greatest roles is that of Quasimodo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, from the 1923 film from Universal Studios. Near the end of the film Quasimodo grabs Esmeralda from the mob and brings her into the church Sanctuary. As they enter the gates of the church he turns around and scowls at the crowd. Esmeralda, in his grasp, is bemused and not quite sure what to believe. This diorama is effectively captured in dimensional glory by Robert Price and released by Resin Crypt. All paints are acrylics. For extra support for the arch steel strips were screwed into the back.
