“The Outer Limits” Sand Shark

In the original Outer Limits episode, The Invisible Enemy, the ‘bear’ seen is called the Sand Shark and is literally seen swimming about is a sea of sand.  Its head fin breaks the surface followed by the rest.  To me, it’s those claws that get the attention.  This diorama was released to the world by Dimensional Designs and is all resin except for the shark’s jaws, both upper and lower, which are made out of white metal.  Since these pieces are heavy they needed special attention to attach them to the resin head.  A special drill bit for metal was used to make 3/32″ holes for lengths of brass rods to secure the pieces in place with epoxy glue. All paints are acrylics.
