Children of the Hydra’s Teeth Skeletons
Many believe the greatest sequence of stop-motion animation ever filmed is during Jason & the Argonauts when the “Children of the Hydra’s Teeth”, the seven skeletons, battle Jason. This 1/6th scale all-resin trio of skeletons, one out of the ground and two others working their way up, is courtesy of Star Ace and Monsters in Motion. In the film each skeleton shield has an image and since none were supplied it was a simple matter of making a video grab of the scene and then sizing and printing out the image and glueing to the shields. All paints are acrylics with a dark walnut stain.
