Karloff and Pierce II

A few years ago Mike Hill created a life-sized version of Jack Pierce making up Boris Karloff for the Universal Studios film, The Mummy, which was shown at a Monsterpalooza show.   Inspired by this image Jeff Yagher created an all-resin 1/6th scale version of Pierce adding some final touches to Karloff’s mummy makeup.  This diorama is referred to as ‘Karloff and Pierce II’.  Karloff is checking the results with his mirror.  Pierce used a bee smoker to add dust and dirt to the mummy which is shown on the crates.  Included with the diorama is a stela which serves as a nameplate.  All paints are acrylics.
